Position Description

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach the following undergraduate-level course in the third-year engineering program during the 2018 Winter Session:

  • ENCM467 - Digital Electronic Circuits

The successful candidate is required to be available during that entire period. The successful candidate will be expected to have earned at least a Masters in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field, and must have a demonstrated background in the subject matter related to this course. The successful candidate must also have very good previous teaching performance or show the potential for very good to excellent teaching ability. It is strongly desired that the candidate is registered as a Professional Engineer in a Canadian Province.

Course Description:

MOS transistor fundamentals (D.C. characteristics, large signal model, transient behavior). Transistor level implementation of standard MOS logic gates. Other MOS logic blocks. MOS memory (static and dynamic). Interfacing various logic families. Introduction to integrated circuit design.

Course scheduled hours (subject to change):

Lecture: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 13:00 ~ 13:50am

Tutorial: Friday: 2:00 ~2:50pm

Lab: Thursday: 2:00-4:50pm
